Parts of the Samaheej coastal area are being reclaimed for government and private housing projects, Bahrain's Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza told MPs Tuesday.
"These lands are owned by the Royal Court and the government and are being utilised in the best way possible," he said, according to GDN. "The area is strategic and many people want their houses near the sea."
