ALBAWABA – Apple, the American multinational corporation and technology company, announced opening its first physical store in Saudi Arabia in 2026 and its online store in the summer of 2025. The announcement came shortly after the company revealed plans to open a new store in the United Arab Emirates.

Apple to land in Saudi Arabia soon

Apple started opening new physical and online stores in Saudi Arabia in 2025 and an online store in the summer of 2025. The company is looking to expand its presence in the Gulf region, having recently announced the opening of a new branch in Al Ain City in the United Arab Emirates.

According to sources, the company is preparing to open its first physical store in Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Saudi Arabia around 2026.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, stated: “Among the new Saudi openings, there will be an iconic store at the stunning site of Diriyah coming later. Our teams are looking forward to deepening our connections with customers, and to bringing the best of Apple to help people across this country explore their passions, build their businesses, and take their ideas to the next level.”

Apple's online store is set to launch in the summer of 2025 in Saudi Arabia and will aim to serve customers across the kingdom. Additionally, the company is planning to introduce an Arabic support system for its customers.

The exact locations of the Apple stores have not yet been announced, but it is anticipated that they will be situated in major malls and shopping centers.

It is worth mentioning that the company plans to launch its online store first, as Saudi Arabia's retail economy is increasingly expanding through online shopping.

Apple's expansion in Saudi Arabia and its role in economic growth

Notably, Apple launched Apple Developer Academy in 2021 in partnership with the Saudi Government, the Tuwaiq Academy, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. The academy offers world-class training for aspiring coders, designers, and entrepreneurs, preparing them for careers in the country’s vibrant app economy.

Additionally, the company recently launched Saudi Arabia's first co-ed Apple Foundation Program, a monthlong course that brought together students from across the country to learn the fundamentals of coding and app development, with a focus on gaming.
