Andhra Pradesh, one of the India's ICT destinations has confirmed participation at the Gitex 2002 show to be held in Dubai from October 13-17. The state government has confirmed two stands at the Indian pavilion, which will be making its debut at the show.
Aggressively marketing its ICT policy, the Information Technology and Communications Department of the government of Andhra Pradesh in association with the Dubai World Trade Center will once again host the Gitex Hyderabad – a three day event being held between January 22-January 24, 2003.
In 2002, through the pro-active initiative of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the exhibition expanded its sphere of operations to Hyderabad, India, to be conducted as an annual event. It provided a dedicated platform for the IT sector to launch new technologies, focus on the many investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and help broaden India's IT industry.
The GITEX-Hyderabad 2003 will showcase the immense business potential of the region and be a perfect platform for business transactions and latest innovations, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu said. The government is confident of the fact that the exhibition will provide the ICT industry and trade an excellent platform to launch new products and services and meet existing and potential new clients under one roof. The value of new business opportunities that would be generated is immeasurable, the organiszers pointed out.
The January 2003 exhibition will showcase hardware, software, networking and telecommunications, infrastructure and office products. Some of the other categories of the product profile at the exhibition include: internet products and browsers; multi-media; graphic imaging, products, services and animation, digital imaging, office automation among others, informed the organizers. — (menareport.com)
