Energy will be supplied in "best possible conditions" this summer, as no power cuts are planned, Sonelgaz Chief Executive Officer, Nourredine Bouterfa, stated Sunday in Algiers.
In a press conference, where he presented the 2003 balance sheet of Sonelgaz, Bouterfa explained that electrical power production capacities can satisfy the demand in the short term. It will be reinforced through the start of production of power stations in Fkirina (Oum El Bouaghi), Arzew, Skikda and Hedjret Nousse, he said, according to APS.
Additionally, he noted the lessons learned from February 3rd, 2003 black-out. For this purpose, Sonelgaz has invested AD62 billion last year (up 49% compared to 2002), the equivalent of over 79% of the group's turnover, which reached AD78 billion. (meanreport.com)
