Algeria imports $700 million worth of vehicles in 2001

Some 62,007 passenger vehicles and 34,271 commercial vehicles were imported in Algeria in 2001, valued at $700 million. The nation received 28,168 vehicles valued at $200 million in the first quarter of 2002, reported a local customs report.  

 

Leading suppliers in Algeria’s car market include Peugeot, Renault, Daewoo, Hyundai and Volkswagen. The bulk of Algeria’s vehicles have been in circulation for more than 10 years. — (menareport.com)
