Senior management at Al Sondos Suites by Le Meridien have launched an aggressive drive to target new markets in order to achieve occupation and revenue budget achievements for this summer.
The all-suite property, already one of the best performing properties in the group’s Middle East portfolio, has finished the last two years ahead of target, with Osama Mariam, director of sales and marketing, now looking to capitalise on new market interest with a sales blitz over the next couple of months.
Mariam said: “We are now looking to average occupancy levels at over 90 per cent year round and to maintain the excellent year-to-date levels of 95 per cent. To do this, we are targeting new markets to make up the necessary increase, and will be going on a sales roadshow to India, Turkey, Qatar and Kuwait over the next two months.
“There has already been a tremendous demand for our product from these markets, not least in the incentive sector. As a result, we have made a conscious effort to focus our strategy to appeal to these countries – and that is paying off.”
These four markets will be targeted by Mariam in conjunction with Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Kuwait) and the Le Meridien group (India and Qatar), while Turkey is self-driven by Al Sondos Suites.
According to Mariam, there is great awareness for the Dubai product in these countries, following extensive work by the DTCM. “Dubai’s name is definitely on the radar in terms of key incentive and short-break destinations, which makes our job easier.”
Al Sondos Suites by Le Meridien is an all-suite, 11-storey building located opposite Deira City Centre in the downtown business and shopping district of Dubai.
With just 106 studio, one- and two-bedroom suites, the hotel twins international management efficiencies with an intimate atmosphere, a combination that appeals to short-term visitors as well as guests staying for longer periods who look for a comfortable base in the centre of Dubai.
