The Chairman of the Emirates Civil Aviation Authority, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, was recently quoted by Al-Ittihad newspaper, stating that the Dubai International Airport will receive 20 new aircraft during the period of mid October through mid November.
These aircraft, which will use the airport for the first time, will carry out 20 flights per day. As a result, the number of flights scheduled via Dubai Airport is expected to rise from 380 to 400. Furthermore, the general movement through this airport is expected to rise by 15-20 percent, following the launch of promotional campaigns throughout the world.
Al-Maktoum revealed that a new symbol for the airport has been launched recently, coinciding with the inauguration of new expansion projects and the construction of the Shaikh Rashid Building. In addition, the airport has commenced a new marketing campaign under the title, “When The World Meets”, priced at $55 million. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
