ALBAWABA - Valve's all-new Steam Controller is in high demand, with online reports claiming it allegedly sold out in only 30 minutes.
It's only natural that scalpers have also taken advantage of the high demand and are selling the controller on eBay for over $250, sparking concern among internet users about the upcoming release of the long-anticipated Steam Machine and the Steam Frame.
A social media user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote excitedly, "Steam Controller goes up in about 20 minutes," only to be disappointed to see scalpers selling the controller on eBay for insane markups after it went out of stock on the official store.
Valve's Steam Controller is already getting scalped for $250
They added, "I hate it here," following a screenshot of more than three controllers marked up to $250.
Another user wrote, "Scalpers going to hate life when they realize this is a controller not a console nobody is paying a upcharge for one and will be waiting."
One more outlined, "Worst part (besides scalpers), is the controller just released hours ago. These people are selling a picture they dont physically have the controller."
Valve's all-new Steam Controller comes equipped with magnetic thumbsticks, high-definition rumble, grip buttons, and gyro functionality. It also features the popular trackpads on the Steam Deck that allow players to conveniently play mouse and keyboard games with the controller.
