Al-Jazeera Satellite Channel (JSC), a leading Arabic news TV channel, has signed a contract with Afkar Information Technology to design and develop an advanced intranet solution. The new intranet solution will ensure a higher level of performance and increase productivity of JSC's employees worldwide.
One of the key parts of the intranet is the financial & Human Resources (HR) management system, which will allow authorized employees to exchange information and data through an integrated system. In addition, the system provides financial reports and analysis that ease the work and empower decision-making process at JSC.
The project will be implemented using latest tools and technologies from Microsoft, including Microsoft Great Plains for financial/HR management, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server for electronic document/workflow management, and Microsoft SQL Server database. All will utilize the new Microsoft .NET technology.
