The hotel capacity of Abu Dhabi is expected to rise by 17 percent by the end of 2002, reaching 5.765 rooms, reported Al-Alam Al-Youm . Many of the Emirate’s hotel are currently under reconstruction and several new hotels are also being built.
Abu Dhabi is the largest of the seven Emirates and the Federal capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It occupies an area of 26,000 square miles. It was the first emirate to export oil from the Umm Shaif offshore field in 1962.
