Middle East IPO activities last year raised US$ 7.61 billion in capital, indicating 10.7% of the total US$ 71 bn raised in IPOs worldwide, a recent international report has indicated. Out of the total 425 IPOs floated globally, 28 offerings were conducted in the region last year. The year witnessed IPOs raising more than US$ 500 million each for companies based in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon and Egypt.
