The Egyptian Minister of the Public Business Sector, Mukhtar Khattab, stated that 20 public companies will be up for privatization in 2002 under the framework of the economic reform scheme commenced by the Egyptian government in 1990, reported ksa Today . The Minister added that privatizing these companies is expected to stimulate the economic activities in the country, to alter management styles and to attract local and foreign private investments.
