BlackBerry remains number 1 selling smartphone in KSA

Over the past year (May 2010 to May 2011), more BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones have been sold in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia than any other smartphone, according to point-of-sale data by market research agency GfK Retail and Technology. 

The data, released in June 2011, shows a year-on-year sales growth of 112 percent. 

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 was ranked KSA’s #1 selling smartphone from July 2010 until May 2011, or eleven consecutive months

BlackBerry was one of only two smartphoness to make the top 10 smartphones list in sales, in turn taking the best selling product slot

From April 2010 to April 2011, RIM witnessed a year-on-year growth of 167 percent

From May 2010 to May 2011, RIM witnessed a year-on-year growth of 112 percent
