American Express top sales executives in MENA gather in Bahrain
American Express Middle East announced today that it gathered its top regional sales executives for a conference in Bahrain. The two day event held in June at the Bahrain International Circuit brought together more than 40 of the company’s sales executives from across the 18 countries in the region where it operates.
American Express Middle East, which has been headquartered in the Kingdom since 1977, chose the mid-way point of the year to host the conference as it seeks to build on its positive start to 2011.
The Formula One themed conference allowed delegates to share best practices and understand their individual roles in achieving the company’s goals. An Award ceremony followed the conference to reward the top sales performers.
Mazin Khoury, Chief Operating Officer, American Express Middle East, said: “We are pleased to welcome so many of our regional sales executives here to our headquarters in Manama. By investing in our people here in Bahrain and across the 18 markets we serve in the region, we are able to provide our customers with unmatched flexibility, reliability and rewards.”
Simon Nelson, VP Card Sales and Client Development, American Express Middle East, added: “The Bahrain International Circuit was an appropriate setting and a first class venue to bring together our regional sales team and focus on high performance. Over two days our company leadership and top sales people were able to share best practice and learn new skills, supporting American Express Middle East in its continued drive towards sales and customer service excellence.”
Bahrain is home to over 300 American Express employees and the company’s regional call centre.
