Wataniya Airways appoints new Chief Commercial Officer to drive the airline’s future growth

Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium service airline, has announced the appointment of John Morgan as the company’s new Chief Commercial Officer. Mr Morgan has over twenty years experience in senior commercial roles in the international civil aviation sector, including more than three years in the Gulf region.
George Cooper, Wataniya Airways Chief Executive Officer, said: “I am delighted that John Morgan has agreed to join our team. He is an inspirational and dynamic manager who has achieved a lot in his career to date. He brings a wealth of commercial aviation experience that will help Wataniya Airways continue its successful development as one of the Middle East’s leading airlines.”

Mr Morgan has held senior marketing, sales and commercial positions in some of the world’s most prestigious airlines. He began his airline career with British Airways in 1988 as a regional business manager, being promoted to general manager for business sales before moving to BMI (British Midland) as director of sales and marketing. He has also worked in a number of senior roles in Europe and the Gulf region, most recently as senior vice president EMEA of Eos Airline Inc, based Dubai and as Vice President overseeing commercial activities for Royal Jet in Abu Dhabi.
Mr Morgan is originally from Wales, UK. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree with honours in Business Management from University of Aston, Birmingham.
