University of Dubai holds its 2nd annual Job Fair

The University of Dubai (UD), a prestigious university in the UAE established by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently held its second annual Job Fair at the UD campus in Al Masaood Building. 

Dr Omar Hefni, President of the University, welcomed participating companies from both the private and public sectors. The job fair, organized by the Internship and Career Development Center at UD was well attended by representatives of the city’s leading and well-known companies such as Deloitte, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai Airport & Free Zone Authority, Dubai Professional Trading Group, Emirates NBD Bank, ENOC, FedEx, General Motors, IBM, Jumeirah Group, Kobaltt Recruitment Solutions, MAF Hypermarkets Carrefour, Mashreq Bank, Microsoft, National Bonds Corporation, NewBoy, Tecom Investments, Total and  Unilever. 

Dr Omar Hefni said: “After the success of last year’s job fair, the University of Dubai is proud to hold its second job fair this year. The event provided ample career and internship opportunities on a full-time or part-time basis to students and alumni of the university. On one hand, students were made aware of the available jobs in the market and the requirements to qualify for it through their active interaction with company representatives from both the private and public sectors. On the other hand, participating companies found UD students and graduates as talented and well-rounded individuals because of the training they have received on the university’s great emphasis on applied curriculum, intercultural and critical thinking and positive attitude.” 

The successful event  attracted more than 350 students and alumni who met with company representatives, gaining valuable business contacts and networking with professionals. With over 50 promising job vacancies posted and continuous interviews currently on-going for shortlisted UD candidates, the University of Dubai endeavors to make the job fair an annual event to continuously support and assist its students and alumni alike in their career advancement and development.
