UAE-Turkey Joint Economic Committee holds preparatory meeting

The UAE-Turkish Joint Economic Committee has held its preparatory meeting The two sides discussed details of the agenda of the official ministerial meeting next Thursday.
Tuesday's meeting was chaired by Undersecretary at the UAE Ministry of Economy Mohammed Ahmed Al Shehhi and Turkish Ambassador Vural Altay.
A joint statement on the committee's meetings and a number of memoranda of understanding will be signed on Thursday.
Al Shehhi said the meeting also discussed ways to increase trade exchange with Turkey and investment opportunities in both economies. The agenda of the meeting also included cooperation in areas such as customs, intellectual property, agriculture, aviation, transport and standards.
For his part, the Turkish Ambassador expressed his country's interest in promoting relations with the UAE.
Turkey's investments in the UAE reached AED 23.9 billion while UAE investments in Turkey reached 18.4 billion.
