Toyota leads all automakers with three top picks from consumer reports

Toyota leads all automakers with three top picks from Consumer Reports magazine. The RAV4 was named Best Value SUV and the Prius Hybrid won top green car for the eighth straight year, while the Sienna was named best Family Hauler. Toyota also leads all automakers with 20 recommended models out of 26 models tested.
“We are especially pleased that the RAV4 is the winner of the Best Value among Small SUVs category since it is a top seller in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” said Eng. Adel Ezzat – Director of Toyota SUV at ALJ. “The popularity of the RAV4 2011 is due to the fact that it combines the benefits of a fuel efficient car with the comfort and spacious interior of an SUV, offering a perfect blend between power, fuel economy, comfort, quality and safety.”
The RAV4, an abbreviation of Recreational Active Vehicle 4 wheel drive, is a Toyota SUV with the space and size advantages of a SUV that performs with the efficiency and driving ability of a compact car.
“These latest accolades join the impressive list of awards and recognitions received in recent weeks, giving Toyota an exceptionally strong start to 2011,” continued Eng. Ezzat. “The fact that Toyota is totally dominating the awards season shows the high esteem in which the brand is held by auto industry experts and analysts, which in turn reflects the confidence and trust of consumers throughout the world.”
Consumer Reports has more than 7 million subscribers and the results of its annual survey of top vehicles are in part a reflection of responses from subscribers representing more than 1.3 million vehicles. The magazine also secretly buys about 80 vehicles annually as part of its review. The survey is influential because of how many consumers consider it before buying a new vehicle.
Among other recent top ratings Toyota and Lexus vehicles make up more than half of Forbes list of the Top Ten Most Reliable Vehicles and rank in the top three brands for Customer Retention in a study conducted by J.D. Power. In addition, Toyota ranks as the most perceived auto brand in Saudi Arabia and in the top three of all the most perceived brands in the kingdom, according to GMR (Gulf Marketing Review).
Abdul Latif Jameel Company has been the sole distributor of Toyota Motor Corporation brands in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for more than half a century. The legendary partnership between the two automotive giants is based on a policy of “The customer comes first” and is supported by ALJ ’s renowned commitment to service excellence.
