Thrifty Car Rental in Oman gears up for heavy traffic in July

Thrifty Car Rental in Oman, a franchisee of the Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. is gearing up for a high influx of tourists in the month of July during the Khareef season (Oman monsoons).
“Oman is the Oasis in the desert of the Middle East during the hot summer season, and people from in and around the region are keen on visits to the lush, green lands in Salalah and Dhofar,” said Mehdi Jaffer, Deputy Managing Director Thrifty Car Rental Oman. “We are expecting minimal tourist activity in August due to the Holy month of Ramadan. However, we expect a phenomenal increase in regional tourists planning on visiting Salalah in July, which should offset the loss in August.”
Each year, regional tourists flock to the areas of Salalah and Dhofar for the numerous attractions. The world heritage location of UNESCO organization and the tomb of the Prophet Imran (PBUH) are only two of the many tourist sights in Salalah. There are also a number of beaches, mountains and famous springs in Salalah, which are rich in greenery due to the light rains and a welcome escape for tourists in the Middle East.
Omanization
Thrifty Car Rental has put Omanization at the top of its priority list for the rest of the year. The company has recruited a number of Omani nationals and trained them on customer service skills, delegation and time management.
“Oman nationals are a valuable source to the country’s tourism industry,” continued Jaffer. “Not only do they have a firm grasp on the heritage of their own country, but their patriotic enthusiasm will drive the success in their careers and the overall promotion of Oman.
