Under sponsorship of STC, orphan children of Ensan Society participated in the Prophet's Companion Journey, a social responsibility activity which reflects the company's consistent support for initiatives that serve the community.

The orphans enjoyed their visit to blessed Tayba, the city of the prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, and to holy Makkah, availing themselves of the lessons to be learned about the high morals of our honorable prophet, assisted by eminent visiting Islamic professors who gave them lectures about the concept of morality through dialogue, discussion and short films.

The children visited Sheikh Dr. Salih Awad Al-Maghamsi, the Imam of Quba mosque, in his home where he told them about the virtue of love and altruism. They also met the program guest Farouq Zouman, the first Saudi citizen to climb Mount Everest, who told them about leniency, ambition and depending on God.

The orphans also visited the Hijaz Railway Terminal which was established during the Ottoman era for trains running from Damascus to Madinah and then went on to the King Fahd Complex where the holy Quran is printed and translated to more than 50 languages.

The children prayed Maghreb in Quba mosque, in which the prophet, peace be upon him, participated in building as a practical gesture that emphasizes the virtue of cooperation. The group said Ishaa prayer in the two Qiblas and visited Uhud Mountain, about which the honorable prophet said "Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it." They also visited the graves of martyrs and companions.

After staying a whole week in Madinah, the orphan children headed to Makkah where they visited the holy places and some other locations such as the site of Alhudaiybiya treaty, Dar Al-Arqam, the two holy mosques museum, Makkah library and the headquarters of the Pilgrims Gift institution.

During this tour they met Sheikh Abdullah Al-Manie, member of the Commission of Supreme Ulama, who addressed them in a benign and fatherly manner and who also thanked the organizers of the program. Next, they practiced the Hadiya (Gift) activity and the prophetic sunnah in markets.

The visit, which concluded with the return of the team to Riyadh, was positively reflected in the knowledge and skills attained by the children, who demonstrated high mental capabilities and scientific knowledge enhanced by searching for information on the internet.

STC sponsored the Prophet Caravan program in order to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of the orphans by enabling them to participate in valuable and purposeful programs during the summer vacation. As a leading Saudi company, STC is committed to supporting all religious, cultural, social, educational and charitable activities that serve our society.
