Egyptian singer Suad Mohammad has passed away earlier this week after at the age of 85. The singer had been severely ill for some time, and her funeral is being held at the Al Hamidiyah Mosque in Al Muhandiseen area in Cairo.

 

The late singer was born in Beirut Lebanon to a Lebanese mother and Egyptian father. Since the beginning of her career she had presented over 3000 songs and starred in two different films. The first film was “Palestine” and the second “Ana Wahdi” (I am alone) both directed by Henry Barakat.

 

Suad married at a very young age from journalist Mohammad Ali Fatooh. The marriage lasted for 15 years and the fruit of the union was six children. After her first marriage, she married an Egyptian engineer and had four more children then the marriage ended in divorce. Suad’s third marriage was to a Lebanese man. The third marriage ended in divorce as well, but without any children.
