Egyptian singer Shireen Abd Al Wahab is currently preparing for her performance at the grand ceremony of the Arab Media Festival taking place on December 21 and lasting until the 24th. The festival will be launched after it has been postponed for over a month due to the current Cairo International Film Festival and Parliamentary elections.

According to the London based Elaph, the operetta that was scheduled to take place at the opening ceremony was cancelled and the only entertaining segment will be Shireen’s performance. The singer is personally supervising the stage preparations to ensure that her performance will be of the highest standards, especially since it is her first performance after her return from maternity leave.

This year’s festival will feature participations of 520 television projects and 190 radio projects submitted from 16 different countries around the Arab world.

The opening ceremony will be held at the Pharaoh Theater at the Media Production City and will be attended by the Egyptian Information Minister, who will be honoring prominent figures from the media.
