Shabaan Abd Al Raheem suggest sweetening tea with salt

Egyptian folk singer Shabaan Abd Al Raheem has completed recording a new song about the current inflation in sugar prices in Egypt. The song is one of many the singer has recorded that tackle social issues in a satirical manner.

 

According to the internet website MBC.net, Shabaan revealed that he composed the song himself and the words are written by Islam Khaleel. The song talks about the ridiculous rise in sugar prices, which reached nine Egyptian pounds a kilo. In the song, Shabaan tells people that they should start sweetening their tea with salt instead since it is much affordable.
