Prominent Syrian actress Muna Wassif revealed she is preparing to star in a new television drama about the old traditional Syrian society titled “Ibn Al Dayeh” (Son of the Midwife). In the drama, Muna plays the role of a midwife that returns home to her neighborhood after an absence of 30 years and after the killing of her son and husband.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Muna said that the time of the drama takes place during the French occupation of Syria and the main focus is the secret reasons behind the midwife’s escape from her neighborhood and then her return to join revolutionists against the French.
On a similar note, Muna is also preparing to take part in the sequel of the Syrian television drama “Al Wiladah Min Al Khasirah” (Birth from the waist). The drama is written by Samer Radwan and directed by Rasha Sharbatji and will feature numerous surprises that will keep viewers on their feet.
