Egyptian composer Mohammad Raheem denied recent circulating rumors that he had made public statements insulting Lebanese diva Majeda Al Roumi. Mohammad stressed that he would never do such an inappropriate thing against such a renowned singer like Majeda or any other singer for that matter.
Mohammad stated that he was not angered or disappointed after Lebanese singer Mairam Fares took her song “Shu Bahib” (How I love), which he had composed, off the market due to the fact that it was said to be an imitation of the song “Bil Qalib Khaleeni” (Leave me in your heart) by Majeda Al Roumi.
Mohammad said that Mariam did the right thing to end a conflict without making matters worse and he supports her decision one hundred percent and intends to work with her again on future projects.
Recently, Lebanese composer Jan Marie Riyashi had accused Mariam and Mohammad of stealing the composition to the song he composed for Majeda and demanded they remove the song from the market to avoid legal action against them. Mariam had decided to resolve the matter peacefully not wanting to involve herself in legal matter.
