Prominent Egyptian actress Mervat Ameen has turned down her nomination to star in the new television drama series “Ibn Umuh” (His mother’s son) due to the fact that the producing company refused to agree to the wage Mervat demanded stating that it was beyond the budget they had set.
It is said that Mervat insists on being paid the sum of 4 million Egyptian pounds for any role she is given.
Mervat had also turned down another offer to star in the television drama “Quyood Min Nar” (Chains of fire) for the same reason.
