Lebanese singer Maya Nasri had taken advantage of her recent stay in Lebanon during the holy month of Ramadan with her Egyptian husband director Ehab Lam’ei, and held several work sessions with a group of song writers and composers to choose the right song, which she wants to release as a single, to ensure that her return to the music scenes is a strong one.
According to the London based Elaph, Maya’s contract with the production company ‘Rontan’ had recently ended and the singer revealed that she intends on producing the new single herself. Maya stated she did not want to be tied to any particular company at the moment, in order to be able to make her own decision on which direction to take her career, which was not the case since the beginning of her career.
The last album released by Maya was in 2008 titled “Jai al Waqt” (The time has come) and she had filmed only one of its songs in the form of a music video.
The upcoming period, Maya will also be occupied with preparing for a new film, which filming of the first scenes is scheduled to take place in December. The singer refused to reveal any details regarding the new film.
