As a sign of respect to the families of those that lost their lives during the recent Egyptian January 25 Revolution that overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak, Jordanian singer Mai Saleem decided to hold a private wedding without any media coverage. Mai has gotten married to Egyptian businessman Ali Rifaee.
The wedding ceremony was previously scheduled to take place on Valentine’s Day, but due to the conditions in Egypt, Mai postponed the wedding and just recently held a private quiet wedding with a small number of guests.
During the revolution, Mai had fallen into a state of extreme depression and doctors had urged her to refrain from stressing herself by watching the tragic events on television stations and try and relax.
