Kareem Abd Al Aziz returns

Young Egyptian actor Kareem Abd Al Aziz is preparing to take part in a new film about prison escapees during the January 25 Revolution in Egypt. The movie will focus on the chaos and insecurity that was witnessed during the revolution.

In the film Kareem will play the role of one of the escaped prisoners, who eventually turns himself in to authorities.

According to the internet website MBC.net, the film will mark Kareem’s first appearance after suffering from severe health problems while accompanying his mother in London. Kareem suffered eight strokes, and miraculously recovered from them completely.

Screenwriter Amro Sameer Atif said that the film is not about the events of the revolution, but rather focuses on the chaos in the streets of Egypt with criminals on the loose.  Amro said that he visited several prisons from which a large number of prisoners escaped, and talked to prisoners that were captured.

Amro said that he wants the film to reflect actual events.
