Egyptian singers Hani Shaker and Amal Maher have cancelled their previously scheduled concert on February 23 in Kuwait at the annual ‘Hello February’ festival. The cancellation came as a result of the current conditions in Egypt with the uprising of the people against the current government.
The organizers of the festival have released a letter stating that Hani and Amal have apologized for being unable to hold their concert and that the Kuwaiti people are very understanding and hope that Egypt will overcome these tough times and life will return to normal.
Egypt is currently experiencing a period of chaos with the uprising of the people and the constant protests in the streets around the country.
