Egyptian comedian actress Hala Fakher has expressed her overwhelming joy at her recent pilgrimage to Mecca and performing the fifth pillar of Islam, Hajj. The actress stated that the moment she saw and touched the holy rock Ka’bah, she felt an indescribable sensation and she knew that God was with her and will forgive all her sins.
During an interview with the entertainment program “Kalam Ala Waraq” (Words on paper), Hala said that she was very thankful for getting the chance to perform Hajj and before going she knew that God will forgive all her sins and she will be reborn.
The actress stressed that she will resume her acting career and the fact that she wore the hijab, Islamic headdress, does not mean she will change her ways, whether it be in acting or in her personal life. Hala added that she will be starring in two different television dramas, one with Egyptian comedian actor Hani Ramzi in the new drama “Arees Delivery” (Husband for delivery) and the second with prominent Egyptian actor Hassan Husni in a sitcom.
Haifa also stated that wearing the hijab is not an unusual thing for her since she grew up in a conservative family that based its ways on the ethics and teachings of Islam. She added that her daughters wear the hijab and so does her mother.
