Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi has signed a contract with the production company ‘Arab Screen’ to star in the new television drama “Mousa”. The drama is written by Tareq Badawi and is expected to be aired during the Ramadan season of 2011.

Haifa is currently holding extensive work sessions with Tareq and the producing company to choose the remaining case and director. All nominations are taking place in extreme secrecy.

Tareq has refused to reveal any of the drama’s details and only stated that scenes are scheduled to begin in February of 2011. He added that the producing company has requested of the entire crew to not reveal any details regarding the drama.

Haifa has one previous acting experience in the film “Dukan Shahata” (Shahata’s Market), which was written by Naser Abd Al Rahman and directed by Khaled Yousif. The singer had repeatedly turned down offers to star in television dramas, the most noted was “Ziqaq Al Madaq”, which is taken from the novel by the late Najeeb Mahfouz.
