Egyptian belly dancer Fifi Abdo has requested of Egyptian actress Wafa Amer to try and properly portray the character of the late dancer Tahya Karioka in the new drama that tackles the life of the late dancer. Fifi revealed that the late dancer had requested of her to portray her in a television drama, and at the same time she is not upset that the role was given to Wafa. Fifi stated that she considers Wafa to be a talented actress and her previous works prove her acting capabilities.
Fifi said that she hopes the drama about Tahya will be of the highest standards to show respect for her achievements and history.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Fifi revealed that she is in the process of preparing to film a number of dance clips.
On a different note, Fifi revealed that her upcoming television drama will unite her with Egyptian actress Summaya Al Khashab and filming of the scenes is scheduled to begin at the beginning of the New Year. In the drama, Fifi plays the role of a married woman, whose husband is married to another woman. The two women go through a series of disputes sometimes to the point of becoming physical.
