Syrian actor Basil Khayat has expressed his joy at his first cooperation with director Seif Al Din Suba’ie in the new Syrian drama “Ta’eb al Mishwar” (A Thorny Journey), which is written by Fadi Qawshaqji.
The drama tackles different social issues in the middle class like the depression that strikes those that try to follow their dreams but end up not fulfilling any of their expectations. The drama focuses on three different age groups those in their twenties, thirties and fifties.
Basil plays the role of a doctor who suffers from numerous marital problems despite the fact that his wife is a doctor as well. Throughout the events of the drama, Basil’s character discovers that most of his problems are a result of his low self esteem.
The drama stars prominent Syrian actor Abbas Al Nouri, actress Karees Bashar, actors Basim Yakhour, Qais Al Sheikh Najeeb, Rana Shmays, Duha Al Dibs and Nadine Tahseen Baik.
