Balqees brings Raghda back to theater

Prominent actress Raghda has begun work on a new theater play titled “Balqees” (Queen of Sheba), which marks her return to the National Theater Stage. The play is written by Abd Al Rahman Mahfouz and directed by Ahmad Abd Al Haleem.

 

According to the London based Elaph, Raghda revealed that the play is based on the life of the famous queen Balqees and will highlight different events of her life.

 

Raghda revealed that the play has been worked on for the past six years, and the script was given to her then. She added that due to unfortunate circumstances, the play did not see the light until today. Raghada noted that the play will be ready for showing in the first months of the upcoming New Year.

 

Egyptian actors Sameerah Abd Al Aziz, Ahmad Foad Saleem, Ahmad Salamah, Sami Mughawri, Ahmad Abd Al Warif and many more will costar with Raghda in the new play.
