As previously mentioned in the USA versus Germany preview, the two nations at the current top of the table have the best chances of getting through to the knockout stages knowing that a draw guarantee's they both go however.

Germany are not expected to lose, which means the USA could be up for a poacher to strike and steal their knockout stage dreams, much to the horror of USMNT fans everywhere.

Portugal would have to absolutely unleash the dogs of war on Ghana and win by at least five goals to guarantee that the USA are eliminated even if the US were to lose 0-1 to Germany. Now if Germany wollops the US and Portugal crushes Ghana who knows that could happen.

However, in all honesty it is truly Ghana that is set to strike revenge on the US and continue to be the thorn in the side of the North American nation for the third straight World Cup.

If Ghana wins by two and the USA lose by one, then the Black Stars will have knocked out the US for the third third time, even with the US having beat them on opening day of Group G, and it will crush US fans that have been so impressed with their side this summer.

Portugal remain without Pepe to suspension and both Fabio Coentrao and Hugo Almeida due to Injury. Both Andre Almeida and Helder Postiga are listed as doubts with the former likely to play.

Ghana have officially send Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng out of their camp according to reports in the media due to fighting and will see the first team shuffled once again for the side.

Portugal Starting XI: Beto: Pereira, Alves, Costa, Almeida; Moutinho, Carvalho, Meireles; Nani, Ronaldo, Varela.

Ghana Starting XI: Dauda: Afful, Mensah, Boye, Asamoah; Rabiu, Badu; Atsu, J. Ayew, A. Ayew; Gyan.
