Jordan on Tuesday beat Tajikistan 3-0 in Group B of the 2018 FIFA World Cup/2019 AFC Asian Cup joint qualifiers in Amman. The win took undefeated Nashama four points clear of AFC Asian Cup holders Australia.

The Tajiks managed to hold Nashama out for over an hour, but Hamzeh Dardour broke the deadlock in the 65th minute to settle the nerves of the crowd at Amman International Stadium.

Hassan Abdul Fattah doubled the score in the 68th minute and Dardour scored again in the 93rd minute.

Dardour and Abdul Fattah also scored for Jordan in last week’s 2-0 defeat of Australia.

Jordan now leads Group B with 13 points. Only the top team from each group can automatically qualify to the next phase.

With three matches remaining Jordan will play next away against Kyrgyzstan on November 17.

On March 24, 2016 the national team will host Bangladesh before travelling on March 29 to Australia to play the last game in the group.
