Uncontested, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Chief of Arab Tennis Federation for New Term

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah of Kuwait was elected on Friday, by acclamation, as chairman of the Arab Tennis Federation for a four-year term, 2017-2021.

In a statement to KUNA, Sheikh Ahmad, who is chairman of the Kuwait Tennis Federation (KTF), said the meeting of the Arab Federation's general assembly was "positive." He added that the meeting discussed several new ideas, including organizing Arab championships, like "Davis Cup", under an international supervision, in addition to courses to upgrade skills of both trainers and referees.

The meeting was attended by secretary of KTF and advisor to the Arab Federation Abdulredha Al-Ghareeb.
