The last time that Liverpool traveled to White Hart Lane, the Reds decimated Tottenham with a complete display of ruthless attacking that ended 0-5 in favor of the Merseyside club and saw Andre Villas-Boas out of the Premier League.

This time around new manager Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to reverse the previous result and his side's morale boosting 4-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers last weekend at the Lane will be used as motivation.

Emmanuel Adebayor looked strong last weekend and will be looking to continue his positive form up front and Erik Lamela continues to look a man re-energized this season after a frustrating adjustment year in 2013-14.

Tottenham have a better attack and better defense than last season and they are certain to put up a much better fight than last year.

Kyle Walker continues his absence and Roberto Soldado is doubtful and Spurs will hope their mid-week match did not take too much out of them.

Liverpool are still finding their feet this season and are adjusting to many new faces in the first team and around the locker room after the departure of several big names has seen changes.

The biggest news of the past week was the arrival of Mario Balotelli for the Reds. The controversial Italian could be either the signing of the summer for the club or the one they wish they had never made. However, with his talent and manager Brendan Rodgers' knack for getting the best out of troublemakers, it is a calculated risk with major payoff potential.

Glen Johnson looks to be out of the first team due to injury while Daniel Agger has agreed a deal to depart back to former Danish club Brondby. Jon Flanagan and Fabio Borini are still ruled out through injury while Adam Lallana was back in training and could make his debut from the bench.

All in all it is set to be a great match and it could be the first run-out for Super Mario in Liverpool Red while Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling enjoy a new target to work with upfront further seeing the system change once more.
