Tottenham are determined on keeping hold of Cristian Romero and will resist all bids for him, according to the Mirror.

The Argentina international is being linked with a move to Real Madrid next year.

Real are searching for reinforcements at the back, and believe the former Atalanta star is a signing that could add a lot of solidity to their back line.

Romero is regarded among the best center-backs around, and has been instrumental in Argentina's 2022 World Cup title triumph.

However, Tottenham are not willing to let the 26-year-old leave, and are confident they can fend off any approach either in January or next summer.

The defender is tied to Spurs until the summer of 2027.
