Kenya's David Rudisha claims back-to-back 800-metre Olympic gold with another commanding performance.
Rudisha took the lead from compatriot Alfred Kipketer on the final back straight and never looked back for victory in the fastest time of the year, 1 minute 42.15 seconds.
Taoufik Makhloufi added silver to his 1,500m gold from 2012 in an Algerian record 1:42.61, and the bronze went to American Clayton Murphy in a personal best 1:42.93.
Rudisha won the world title in 2011 and famously Olympic gold 2012 in London in a world record 1:40.91. He then struggled with injury and modest form but was back in command last year with another world title.
