Real Madrid are set to enter the transfer market in January in search for a new fullback following Dani Carvajal's serious injury.

The 32-year-old said in regard to his injury, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “Serious cruciate ligament injury. I’m gonna have surgery and already looking forward to starting recovery and coming back like a beast”.

“Thank you all so much for your messages, I feel very loved”.

The European champions are reportedly ready to push forward in their pursuit of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Marca says Real are also considering other options such as Lorenzo Aguado and David Jimenez.

However, it seems highly unlikely that they would be able to sign Alexander-Arnold in January, as he is set to become a free agent in the summer.
