Steven Caulker's last-gasp own goal gave a below-par Liverpool victory over QPR at Loftus Road after a frantic finale.

Richard Dunne's 10th Premier League goal gave the visitors the lead on 67 minutes when he turned in Glen Johnson's low cross, but Vargas followed up on his own cross to volley in the equaliser from Charlie Austin's knockdown.

Coutinho appeared to have stolen a win for Liverpool with a deflected strike from a lightning counterattack, but Vargas headed in his second from Leroy Fer's corner to bring the scores level again with seconds left.

But Liverpool had the last word, with Caulker inadvertantly directing Raheem Sterling's attempted centre into his own net to give Brendan Rodgers back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
