Paris Saint-Germain are set to face competition for the signature of Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes this summer.

The Parisian giants brought in Manuel Ugarte last year for a whopping €60 million, but the Uruguay international failed to live up to expectations.

Therefore, Guimaraes appears to be topping PSG's transfer list for the upcoming summer window, as per Le10Sport.

PSG's Sporting director Luis Campos created a shortlist of midfielders who could replace Ugarte.

The list includes Guimaraes along with Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich.

Manchester City are also interested in the 26-year-old who has a £100m release clause in his existing contract that is valid until 2028
