Brazilian football legend Pele has been discharged from hospital after successfully undergoing back surgery.
The 74-year-old underwent surgery at the Albert Einstein hospital to fix discomfort in his back as he was suffering from a trapped nerve, the BBC reported.
The three-time World Cup winner was treated for a urinary infection last year after having kidney stones removed and underwent prostate surgery two months ago.
Pele won three World Cups as a player and has been named Football Player of the Century by FIFA, Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee, and a national treasure by Brazil's government.
