Arsenal were defeated 6-3 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon after Manuel Pellegrini's side continued their incredible home form. While much of the action took place on the pitch throughout the match, a little incident happened just after the final whistle when Arsenal were clapping their traveling fans.
Mesut Ozil was seen walking off the pitch while the rest of the team made their way to the away fans. Per Mertesacker saw Ozil walking off the pitch and ran over to him, giving him stick in the process. Ozil continued walking off the pitch, but the German has now posted his apology on his Facebook account addressing the incident (snapshot below).
