Oman has qualified for the final match of the 23rd Gulf Cup after beating Bahrain 1-0 in the semi-final of the tournament, currently held in Kuwait.
The Oman team dominated the first half and managed to advance in the 28th minute through a corner pass deflected by Bahraini player Mahdi Abdeljabar to settle into own net.
In the second half, the game sprung into life for Bahraini team who tried to equalize but in vain thanks to the outstanding performance of Omani goalkeeper and defenders.
With this outcome, Oman booked a seat in the 23rd Gulf Cup final, to be held at Jaber International Stadium on Friday, waiting the winner of today's second semi-final match between Iraq and the United Arab Emirates.
