Man Utd manager Moyes set to be sacked

Reports have surfaced after yesterday's 2-0 loss against Everton, that Manchester United are set to sack "The Chosen One" David Moyes. It appears as though the Glazers have finally grown tired of the dismal display that Moyes has provided at United this season. It appears that Moyes' 2-0 loss to his former club, Everton, could be the straw that broke the camel's back.

It is no secret that Manchester United have had open discussions with Ruud van Gaal and Borussia Dortmund boss, Jurgen Klopp over the past few weeks.  While it was thought that Moyes would be given this summer transfer window to show his worth, it looks as though the curtain may close early on Moyes, with a sacking possible before the end of the season.

United have had a terrible season and sit six points back of the final Europa League spot.  United haven't missed out on European football since the 1981-82 season. This performance on the pitch was a huge sting to United fans and management; however, the Glazer's  £200 million nest egg is certainly another reason to distrust Moyes' ability to run a club of this stature.

Manchester United will enter the summer transfer window with a sizable £200 million budget.  Can Moyes deliver quality in his signings?  If last year's window is any indication, the answer has to be simply, no.  Moyes' transfer dealings thus far have just been embarrassing. The disastrous £27.5 million purchase of Marouane Fellaini from Everton minutes before the deadline was completely laughable, not only because it seemed incredibly desperate, or because he overpaid but because Fellaini didn't produce at all on the pitch. The £37.5 million club record signing of Juan Mata did very little to boost United's chances or form.

It wouldn't be a shock to hear of an early David Moyes departure from Old Trafford.
