Manchester United and manager David Moyes took another step in the wrong direction during midweek as the Red Devils fell flat once again in a major derby falling 0-3 to Manchester City at home just as they did to Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Moyes knows that his time is limited even more so now that it was before as the fans and the club expect to win and are not doing so.
Having served his suspension defender Nemanja Vidic is again available for United as both Darren Fletcher and Ryan Giggs will be hoping for a chance to get back in the first team.
Meanwhile Aston Villa are hoping to recover from a crushing 1-4 trouncing by Stoke City at Villa Park and will look to make a neusance of themselves at Old Trafford.
Ciaran Clark and Matthew Lowton will hope to return to the first team as Andreas Weimann hopes to make his recovery in time to compete.
United XI: De Gea: Rafael, Jones, Vidic, Evra; Giggs, Carrick; Young, Rooney, Januzaj; Welbeck.
Villa XI: Guzan: Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bertrand; Bacuna, Westwood, Delph; Weimann, Benteke, Agbonlahor.
