Manchester City v AS Roma: Preview and projected lineups

Manchester City (0-0-1) fell to Bayern Munich at the hands of a late winner from Jerome Boateng and the English club will be looking to take all three points at home as they look to survive the Group Stage for the first time.

However, it will be a tough test and Samir Nasri remains out while both Fernando and Matija Nastasic are approaching their returns.

AS Roma (1-0-0) crushed CSKA Moscow in Rome on their opening day and with their current league form seeing them joint top of the Italian Serie A, Rudi Garcia’s side will be feeling that the sky is the limit when they visit the Etihad this afternoon.

Juan Itrube and Leandro Castan are both doubts while the Wolves remain without Daniele De Rossi, Kevin Strootman, Davide Astori and Federico Balzaretti.

Projected Lineups

City XI: Hart: Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy; Toure, Fernandinho; Navas, Silva, Milner; Aguero.

Roma XI: Sanctis: Maicon, Manolas, Yanga-Mbiwa, Cola; Nainggolan, Keita, Pjanic; Ljajic, Totti, Gervinho.
